At our center, we practice Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, otherwise known as "CBT."
CBT is an evidence-based treatment employed for the treatment of sports-related performance anxiety and depression. Several of our providers, including Dr. Johanna Kaplan, Dr. Lediya Dumessa, Dr. Mark Wahl, and Dr. Timothy Fratto have experience treating individuals involved in all sports/athletic activities. We know that how we think of ourselves in relationship to our athletic involvement has a direct impact on our performance and longevity in the sport involved. Many of our providers were even recruited for Division 1 athletics at the collegiate level. We personally know the pressure and complications involved. Dr. Timothy Fratto is our neuropsychologist at the Washington Anxiety Center of Capitol Hill. He formerly served as the Neuropsychologist for the Washington Commanders. He is trained in baseline cognitive assessments, IMPACT assessment, and brain-related trauma evaluations of all ages (young children-older adult). |
Our Office Environment
We have specifically designed our offices with the idea that coming to treatment should not feel clinical.
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible.
Our office aesthetic has been described by our patients as "welcoming, calming, and home-like."
We hope to welcome you seamlessly into the comfort of treatment.
