General Clinical Services
We provide several clinical services:
Initial Diagnostic Evaluation
A 1.5-hour (90-minute) clinical interview in which we complete a full diagnostic review. At the conclusion of the evaluation, you will be informed of our diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.
Individual Sessions:
1. 45-minute clinical session OR
2. 60-minute (full hour) clinical session
Intensives:
For patients with Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Specific Phobia, Social Phobia, School Refusal and Depression, we offer intensive programs that include the following:
1. 2-3 sessions a week (60 minutes for each session)
2. Parent Management training sessions (for child and adolescent patients)
3. Coordination with teachers and school administration (for child and adolescent patients)
Empirical evidence supports the effectiveness of treating anxiety disorders with an intensive model (if available).
See the INTENSIVE PAGE for more information
Groups (as needed):
1. Prenatal/Postnatal Anxiety and Depression Support Group. Click HERE for a new group, beginning Feb 15th, 2022
2. Anxiety Disorders Groups for children, teens, and adults (as needed and requested)
3. Parent training group (the focus of this group is how parents can learn and re-learn strategies to manage anxiety in their child)*
*Groups vary by availability and interest..
Consultation
1. A 1-2 hour session in which we determine whether our services are the right "fit" for your clinical needs (Note: This is not a clinical diagnostic evaluation)
Post Partial-Hospitalization and/or Intensive Outpatient Care
Depending on the clinician's availability and the diagnostic issue/s to be treated, we are able to take patients discharged from a PHP or IOP program. We employ an intensive model of care at the beginning of our outpatient treatment to allow for adjustment into a patient's naturalized environment. Further treatment planning depends on the individual patient's needs.
Medication
There is no psychiatrist on staff, therefore at this time, we do not provide medication evaluations and prescriptions. However, we have close relationships with both adult and child psychiatrists on Capitol Hill and in Washington, DC that receive our direct referrals.
